For the second time in the last 4 years the Association of Public Radio Engineers (APRE) has awarded a scholarship to attend the the Public Radio Engineers Conference (PREC) to an employee of Blue Ridge Public Radio. Our Technology Assistant Duncan Fowler was the recipient and thanks to this scholarship from APRE Duncan will be attending the PREC at no cost with lodging provided. This scholarship enables us to provide additional funds for Duncan to attend the NAB Show following the PREC.
The PREC is a conference held by and for Public Radio Broadcast Engineers. This conference provides an excellent opportunity for technology professionals working in Public Radio to network, learn and share information specific to their role in making Public Radio work.
The NAB Show is the world’s largest event covering filmed entertainment and the development, management and delivery of content across all mediums. This event has learning sessions, speakers and vendor exhibits covering all aspects and mediums of broadcast.
